The Booksellers at Laurelwood is proud to host the 3rd annual Imagicopter. Imagicopter is a voluntary cooperative of writers and artists who try to raise awareness about local talent while promoting each other. Started in June of 2009, it quickly blossomed from an initial group of six authors to now over 80 participants and has two 'Towers' - one in the MidSouth and one in Mississippi - while working on two more - one in Kentucky and the other in Missouri. Imagicopter is not a publicity agency or publishing agency. Their reward is helping talented people get their work noticed. The participants will be signing their books, discussing writing and media in general. This year’s line up includes: Dr. William Eakin, Nebula recommended author of several sci-fi and fantasy works, Jackie Gamber, award winning author of the Redheart series, Robert J. Krog, author of The Stone Maiden and A Bag Full of Eyes, Dan Gamber, illustrator of Clockwork Spells and Magical Bells, Gerald Trimmer, author of Band of Thieves and Trail of a Killer of the Ten Commandment Mystery Series and Windsong Levitch, poet.
